Number 5, Car Colony, was already empty. The cars left at half past 5.
DAD: Last stop! Everyone out!
The 24 cars tumbled out of the van, and a hut, size 375, sat in the corner.
(7:00 am)
Dad had a list. The following items were:
24 bags of bread
24 breadboxes
24 toothbrushes, cups and tubes of toothpaste
24 pillows, beds, blankets
1 size 204 dining table
24 cereal boxes
24 chairs (dining table)
1 campfire (outdoor stuff)
24 bags of marshmallows (outdoor stuff)
24 bags of hot dogs (outdoor stuff)
24 sticks (outdoor stuff)
24 flashlights (hunting)
24 binoculars (safari)
24 walkie-talkies (hunting)
24 safety goggles (hunting)
24 flash hard hats (hunting)
24 dishes, spoons, plates, knives, bowls, forks (dining table, U- tencils)
DAD: Oh, I forgot to tell you, this place is called Car Creek.
DAD: Don’t forget, today is Car Day!
ALL: Yay!
That evening, they had a campfire. They roasted hot dogs, they toasted marshmallows.
They also barbecued BBQ grilled chicken. Yum!
DAD: Beautiful evening Frank?
FRANK: It sure is.
The next morning they woke up at 8:23 am, ate their breakfast, and packed up.
DAD: Today we pack up.
(5:56 pm)
They had a scavenger hunt, had a campfire again that evening, barbecued BBQ meat this time, left Car Creek, took their suitcases with them, drove towards the van, put their suitcases in the trunk, piled in, and dad drove the van towards number five. They had dinner at home when…
DAD: Anybody want to celebrate?
ALBERT: Yeah! Lets celebrate!
(Albert playing The Entertainer)
Everyone thought Albert’s piano playing sounded a little boring because he isn’t playing piano sonatas any more. But now they said that it was beautiful. Albert used to play piano sonatas, but now he became interested in piano concertos [kon-CHAIR-toh].
The End
